Getting Lost in Ilocos Province

This is not the first time I have been to Ilocos Province. My first was back 2013. I am not into “blogging-your-itinerary” back then kaya I don’t have the details of that. BUT! Good thing, my uncle who is a balikbayan from the US of A wanted to explore Ilocos so I thought of, why not join again? LIBRE PA! Weeee! <3

So to start of, this trip was welcomed by 2 typhoons. Gorio and Huaning. And since Ilocos is at the Northen part of the Philippines, nakipag meeting kami sa bagyo. Ganung levels. Parang part siya ng family trip namin. HAHAHAHA!

I don’t want to say that our 1st day was put to waste… Pero #TruthHurts Hahahaha!

Enough with the chika and below are the details of our trip:

Our trip was organized by BRIDGEWAY TRAVEL and TOURS. They were the ones who also arranged our transfers on my first time in Ilocos. So I must say, they are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Their contact details will be written at the end of this post.

Since we are a group of 10, our budget for each head was 3,600 pesos. Inclusion details below.

Pick-up time was 9:00pm, the night before the actual trip. It usually takes 9-10 hours to travel from Manila to Ilocos.

Day 1 – Paoay, Laoag and Bagac Tour

6:00-7:00am – Breakfast at Hidden Garden (PAX Account)

7:30-8:30am – Baluarte ni Chavit (50 pesos entrance fee)

9:00-9:30am – Bantay Bell Tower

11:00-12:00pm – Marcos Museum (50 pesos entrance fee)

12:00pm-1:00pm – Lunch at Batac (PAX Account)

1:15-1:45pm – Paoay Church

Paoay Church. If not the best in the Philippines, then in the world.

2:00-3:00pm – Paoay Sand Dunes (Optional: 2,500 / 4×4 jeep)

3:15-3:45pm – Malacanang of the North (30 pesos entrance fee)

4:00-4:30pm – St. William’s Cathedral and Sinking Bell Tower

5:00pm – Check-in @ Vybe Hotel

Day 2 – Burgos, Bangui and Pagudpud Tour

7:00-8:00am – Breakfast in hotel

8:00am – Depart for Pagudpud

9:00-10:00am – Burgos Lighthouse

10:30-11:30am – Kapurpurawan Rock Formation

First time to ride a horse! And his name is Daniel. Meant to be! (if you know me, you’ll know why :>) and sorry if you had to endure the xx8 pounds. Hahaha! :p

12:00-1:30pm – Lunch at Bangui Windmill (PAX Account)

I need to give this spot to my brother. He’s too lazy to go out of the van all the time. So this is just one of the very few photos he have. Hahahaha!

2:00-3:00pm – Optional: Kabigan Falls

2:00-2:30pm – Patapat Duct

I am a few meters away to Cagayan Valley. Woooow!

2:30-5:00pm – Bantay Abot, Blue Lagoon (20 pesos entrance fee)

Chill time in Hannah’s. Be careful as the waves are huuuge!

5:00-5:30pm – Go back to hotel

 

Day 3 – Vigan Tour

7:00-8:00am – Breakfast in hotel / Check-out

9:30-10:00am – Pasalubong Center

10:30-11:30am – Pagburnayan

12:00-3:00pm – Lunch (PAX Account) then Vigan Tour

*** ALL DETAILS ABOVE ARE ARRANGED BY BRIDGEWAY. BUT DUE TO THE BAD WEATHER, THERE WERE SOME PLACES WE WERE NOT ABLE TO SEE AND VISIT. ESPECIALLY THOSE ON DAY 1.

We’re still glad that Mr. Sun showed up for our Day 2 and 3 tour.
