Whenever I travel, first on my priority is to look for a good hotel and all that I found in Taipei Sunny Hostel. Some of the most important key points that I take in consideration when in search for the right one are as follows:
- Good location
- Value for money
As soon as I booked a ticket for our Taiwan trip, I immediately logged in my Agoda Account. Not long after, I found Taipei Sunny Hostel. With a booming 9.5 rating, without any hesitations, immediately booked a Quad Room Ensuite for me and my friends.
After a few minutes, I got an email from one of Taipei Sunny Hostel’s staff, Sandy. She just sent a few confirmation on our booking and I also asked a few stuff regarding our room. It has been a good exchange of emails. Indeed, a good start!
Besides the fact that it’s my first time in Taiwan, one more thing that made me excited was how our accommodation in Taipei Sunny Hostel would feel like. 🙂
I know by this time, you’re still thinking “Of all the high-rated hotels / hostels in Taipei, why Sunny Hostel?”
Let me give you a “virtual tour” of Taipei Sunny Hostel, less the 3D-ish and 360 degree effect. LOL!
Taipei Sunny Hostel is located near 2 of the most go-to Train Stations for tourists in Taiwan. Ximen and Taipei Main Station. When I say near, you can go there by foot.
One more thing that makes Taipei Sunny Hostel standout from the rest is that, once you step out of their main entrance, right in front of you is 228 Peace Memorial Park which is one of the recommended places for 1st time visitors in Taiwan. Tick that off your list less the hassle of walking or commuting when you stay in Taipei Sunny Hostel.
It is also best and handy to have a screenshot of your hostel’s address on your phone as most cab drivers do not understand English. Here’s Taipei Sunny Hostel’s complete address:
- VALUE FOR MONEY
When I found Taipei Sunny Hostel, besides it’s high rating in Agoda, one thing that caught my attention was their rate / night. Rates below are on New Taiwan Dollars.
I will give you a computation of how much me and my friends paid for our Quad Room Ensuite assuming that the Philippine Peso – Taiwan Dollar exchange rate is NT1.7.
Since we stayed from Monday to Thursday, our rate per night was NT2400.
MATH (hate this! Haha!): NT2400 x 3 nights = NT7200 x NT1.7 / 4 pax = PHP 3,060 / person
Imagine, 3,060 pesos / person for 3 comfortable nights of stay is not bad at all!
Once all bookings and arrangements has been finalized, it is not the facilities of the hostel that will greet you but the staff.
Sunny Hostel’s staff has been nothing but polite and helpful during our stay.
If you have places you want to go to, looking for recommendations or needs to write something in Chinese character, feel free to approach any of Sunny Hostel’s staff and they will be more than willing to do it for you.
Thank you for not making us feel too foreign in your country! 🙂
And now, here’s the part you’ve all been waiting for! Let’s all have a sneak peak of what Taipei Sunny Hostel has to offer to all their guests.
Upon entering the hotel lobby, you will be greeted by these:
After exploring the lobby, let’s now go to the rooms. Taipei Sunny Hostel consists of 7 floors. Each floors have 3 rooms (Twin, Quad and Family) which makes the place not crowded and peaceful at night.
It is normal for any first timers to spend time in the streets until the wee hours of the night. For Sunny Hostel, staff are only available until 11:00pm. If you arrive beyond that time, this is where the importance of the Access Cards of your hotel room comes in.
Taipei Sunny Hostel has been a big part of my first time in Taiwan. And I couldn’t be more thankful 🙂
